All you Techno-lovers out there can rally around this fascinating story. Mr. Bye has created an intriguing landscape of New Planets, Strange Angels, Robots, Cyborgs and even The Devil himself. It is a fascinating world and will leave you breathless. In the first chapter Richard is resurrected even though most of his parts are still missing. His nemesis, Jack Lightfoot, has something to do with it but Richard cannot remember what. Jack and his wife Katy are attacked, their home set ablaze by a giant robot and they are pursued from one world to the next. This book will hold you on the edge of your seat, and keep you reading all night long.

Sci-fi techno thrillers are a totally different genre than the crime and mystery novels I usually read. Clayton Bye has obviously pondered the age old question of good vs' evil, and presents us with a unique take on the subject through the characters of his novella Technomage (From Earth To Eden. The stories hero Jack Lightfoot and the young heroine Victoria Ralston team with some of Jack's old friends mystics, magicians, and shamans,to fight against the forces of Satan. I felt Bye's story was a kind of fictional parable designed for the modern reader. Whether hiding in a Google super computer or inside one of Victoria Ralston's inventions, Bye keeps the pace moving until the books final confrontation, replete with a little twist of thought at the end. Well done Mr. Bye.
When you read Clayton Bye's Technomage (FROM EARTH TO EDEN), suspend all your previous ideas of the Garden of Eden. For this tale, it's a planet in which magic (or magick) thrives instead of machines for its inhabitants. Earth exists and is the one with which we are familiar, where mankind depends upon machines with no magick. There is no interaction between the two. Well, except for the sorcerer Jack Lightfoot (appropriately named) who has the ability to move his being from one world to another. And then there's Lucifer, the fallen angel and a really bad guy who is also very powerful who wants to destroy both worlds. When he decides to combine the machines of Earth with the magick of Eden in his evil plans, he seems unstoppable. Except for Jack, the monkey wrench in Lucifer's works. But can he give the devil his due? Will he be able to stop the unstoppable? Can he organize a defense against the indefensible? That is the tale that Clayton tells in his tightly-written, action-driven book. You won't be bored and will beg for more. Fortunately, it is an ongoing saga and this is only part 2, so stay tuned. Clayton's book is a fantasy that draws upon the Bible and science to create a cosmos undreamt of by anyone else. So sit back, fasten your seat belt, and be prepared for an adventure like none you have ever known.
this is the sequel to Clayton Bye's first novel "From Earth to Eden."
Jack Lightfood loses his family and his human-form self when his nemesis Richard, now in league with the devil, comes down to destroy him. Not only are they planning
on his destruction, but the annialation of the human race on two planets, Earth and Eden. We find ourselves in the midst of technology and magic machinery and warfare
with robotic enemies scorching the earth and its inhabitants and new and old diseases unleashed among the population. It's up to Jack Lightfoot and his group of
friends to use their magical and intellectual powers to destroy the evil. But, can they? And, in time?
This was an interesting and unique story with a mixture of genres fantasy and science fiction. The book was short and good, great descriptions and interesting ideas. It could have been
great if given a chance to develop a more epic style. The ending was abrupt. We could have had more of a conclusion. Perhaps a combining of the first book, this book and maybe a third (?)
would be an idea the author might like to try.
